Powerful and practical ways to build team resilience for wellbeing and performance

Warning: factors which impact on team resilience

Teams and team leaders can face at any one time many of these issues you will recognise here which can really undermine resilience:

  • Team restructuring or major other major organisational changes
  • Increasingly complex work environments and tasks
  • Dealing with constant change and uncertainty
  • Difficult team relationships and dynamics
  • Ongoing time pressures
  • Having to do more with less
  • Being set unrealistic expectations
  • Remote working and trying to keep the ‘human’ connection

Accredited Resilience at Work toolkit for teams and leaders

With our toolkit, we work with the team across the seven areas of team resilience to identify practical solutions which will help them not just to collectively cope but instead thrive.  The R@W Toolkit has been designed specifically to help people at work to:

  • Adapt to frequent change and uncertainty
  • Stay productive despite increasing demands to deliver more with less
  • Manage client expectations that may exceed delivery capabilities
  • Maintain physical and emotional wellbeing despite job pressures

It includes a complementary suite of measures that recognise the connection between employee, leader and team behaviour at work. The measures can be used independently or together, dependent on the circumstances.

3 powerful tools to transform team resilience

Our Resilience at Work (R@W) coaching enables the team through a combination of assessment tools and team coaching to take time out, to step back and see the bigger picture, recognise areas to strengthen and develop a really practical and focused team plan to boost team resilience.

Our 3 key tools in our work with the team/ team leader are:

  1. Workshop to introduce a real understanding of personal and team resilience
  2. R@W team and/or team leader resilience assessment
  3. Coaching with the team / team leader to create a practical resilience plan based on resilience assessments

What do we work on with teams in building resilience?

With our toolkit, we work with the team across the seven areas of team resilience to identify practical solutions which will help them not just to collectively cope but instead thrive by being:

  • Robust: feeling sure in their purpose whilst adapting quickly to change.
  • Resourceful: optimising their collective resources and strengths.
  • Persevering: persisting and staying solution focused facing obstacles.
  • Aware of self-care: promoting good stress management routines in the team
